| 内容記述 | Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is a rapidly growing field. It’s still in an early stage, but computers are about to become an integral part of language teaching. What can computers do to assist language instruction? The computer makes possible a variety of exercises in its quantity and its formats. With a word-processor, writing tasks can turn out to be very enjoyable, because the word-processor’s facilities take out so much of the laborious efforts, and the result printed out is a clean and tidy piece of writing. Communicating via computer with English speakers all over the world helps learners to use the target language in the real world. It also helps to develop their cultural awareness. This article aims to give an outline of what teachers and learners can do with computers in the language class. It also suggests what improvements can be carried out by the introduction of CALL into the English language teaching in Japan. | |||||
