| 内容記述 | Though video cameras offer several advantages as remote sensors, inexpensive ones intended for visual inspection in factories are not suitable for precise instrumentation. This paper proposes two methods for improving poor characteristics of industrial video cameras used as sensors for position measurement, by modifying external signal-processing units rather than by tailoring the internal circuits of cameras. First, linearity errors both in the vertical and horizontal directions caused by electromagnetic deflection are cancelled with simple circuits, generating nonlinearities of inverse polarity. By using a total of only 5 electronic components, the errors are reduced by a factor of 10, down to pm0.1% FS. Second, coarse resolution in the vertical direction and outpt fluctuations caused by interlaced scanning are improved by interpolating pictures with those in adjacent fields. Employing about 5 IC’s reduces the resolution error to 60% and the fluctuations to 1/3 to 1/5. | |||||
