| 内容記述 | The present study tries to propose a way of tree planting along the streets of the city of Nagaoka, Niigata. First, planted areas in living environment are being studied. It is clear that there are not enough trees around. So it is important to increase the planted areas and, especially, street shade trees should be developed qualitatively as well as quantatively because planting street shade tree is appropriate for public work. The major conclusions of the present study is that the trees used to shade major streets should not be pruned so that they will grow higher and wider and that certain shade trees, zelkova for example, should be planted in Ohtedori and other wide steets. | |||||
