| 内容記述 | A Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) image has lateral deformation errors arising from scanning error such as nonlinear relation between applied voltage and displacement for piezo scanner, thermal drift etc. This paper describes a software to correct lateral deformation errors were calculated directly as the lateral error transformation by comparing known theoretical crystalline lattice image with its deformed STM image by using the least squares method. The lateral error transformation involved the following error factors; i) the out-of perpendicularity between X and Y axes ii) the scaling errors of X and Y axes iii) non-linear motion and hysteresis of the deformed STM image. We observed HOPG and CuAu alloy thin layer (on mica, NaCl) by STM, and corrected their deformed images. | |||||
