The velocity and concentration profiles of suspension flow in an alluvial channel are measured. Instantaneous paths of sand particles are obtained by the 35 mm camera. It is seen that large-scale eddies are generated near the reattachment point. Large amount of sand particles are picked up by the intense up by the intense upward flow induced by large scale eddies. The numerical analysis using k-\epsilon\ turbulence model is carried out.
