| 内容記述 | The aim of this study is to develop a self-treatment system for pseudo-myopia by biofeedback technique without any side effects. This system may be applied to accommodation training, which is closely related to the changes in the thickness of eye-lens. Therefore we adopted the lens thickness of patients as the biofeedback information. We have proposed a new measuring technique by Purkinje-Sanson images (PS method) to estimate the lens thickness on real time. The measuring system is composed of a non-invasive simple optics system. The validity of the PS method were studied by computer simulations and by experiments on animals using pig’s eyes. Clinical trials were performed after safety of the technique was confirmed. The experiment consists of three steps : (1) We applied infrared light to subject’s eyes, while subjects observed a moving index closely, (2) We took PS images by CCD camera, and (3) We analyzed these data by personal computer. We have verified that there is a correlation between changes in the thickness of lens and the distance the index is moved, so we can say lens thickness is effective information for biofeedback. In addition, we introduce a computer simulation into the PS technique based on a theoretical model, which makes possible to estimate and measure PS images more accurately than before. | |||||
