| 内容記述 | Under present law, only the Establishment Law of the Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture gives a definition of “culture”. This law defines “culture” as “arts and national entertainment, cultural property stipulated in the Cultural Property Law, publication and copyrights stipulated in the Copyright Law, and the other activities concerning mentioned above for promotion of national cultural life”. On the other hand, the meaning of the term “culture” used in laws in other fields varies with different connotations and abstract ideas. In this paper, by following the discussions of the parliament just after the end of WW II, we clarify the reasons that present cultural policy has a concrete and strong relationship with educational policy. Also, we consider the connotations of the legal term “culture” in various laws and analyze the changing perception of the meaning of “culture”. | |||||
